Session Review

Review your Session materials, including rough transcripts, video and audio recordings, and exhibits on the Session Review page. You can also create video clips of individual participants, flag lines in the rough transcript, and download Session materials. The Session Review page can be accessed at any time while a Session is in progress or after it has concluded from the Prevail Platform.

Session Review is available by subscription or by purchasing access for an individual Session. If you would like to learn more about accessing Session Review, please contact Customer Success at CustomerSuccess@prevail.io.

Access Session Review

Session Review is available to subscribing members from the Sessions page.

  1. Sign in to your Prevail account at Prevail.io.
  2. On the Navigation menu, click Sessions.
  3. In the Actions column, click Review.

    You are taken to the Session Review page for the Session.

Review or Download the Rough Transcript

Review the rough transcript in the AI Speech Capture module, where you can download the transcript file in multiple formats, add flags, search for keywords, filter by flag, create video clips, or manage your saved flags. To manage your flags, select flag Settings from the Options drop-down. To set the AI Speech Capture transcript to scroll along with the video recording as it plays, select Auto-Scroll from the Options drop-down.

Search the Transcript by Keyword

You can search the rough transcript by keyword by clicking the Search icon in the AI Speech Capture (AISC) module and typing a term into the Search box.

  1. In the AI Speech Capture (AISC) module, click the Flag icon.
  2. In the Search box, type a term.
    Note: Exact matches are highlighted in orange and similar matches are highlighted in yellow.

    The term is highlighted in the rough transcript.

Filter the Transcript by Flag

You can search the rough transcript by flag by clicking the Flag icon in the AI Speech Capture (AISC) module and selecting a flag from the drop-down.

  1. In the AI Speech Capture (AISC) module, click the Flag icon.
  2. In the Search box, type a term.
    Note: Exact matches are highlighted in orange and similar matches are highlighted in yellow.

    The term is highlighted in the transcript.

Manage Flags

You can modify your flags in Flag Settings, which is available from the Options drop-down menu. Edit, delete, add flag names, and set your flag colors in Flag Settings.

Playback Session Audio

You can use the Playback option in the AI Speech Capture (AISC) module to replay selected audio in a new tab.

  1. In the AI Speech Capture (AISC) module, select one or more lines of text…
    1. To select a single line, click on a line of text.
    2. Optional: To select multiple lines, press and hold SHIFT as you click.
    3. Optional: To select a group of lines, click the first line then press and hold SHIFT as you click the last line.
  2. Click Playback.

    The audio file opens in a new tab.

  3. Use the audio controls to play or pause the audio recording.
  4. Optional: To adjust the volume, click the Volume icon.

View Participant Video

Focus on a single participant by selecting a participant name from the Video of drop-down in the Video module. Use the video controls to play/pause, adjust the volume level, enter/exit full-screen, adjust the playback speed, or download the video file. You can set the transcript to automatically scroll with a participant video selection as it plays by selecting the Auto-scroll option.

Use the Options menu to set the transcript to automatically scroll as the video plays, enable or disable captions, customize your flags, or go to the Help portal.

Auto-Scroll Sets the AI Speech Capture transcript to automatically scroll with the video as it plays.
Closed Captioning Displays audio captions on the screen.
Flag Settings Opens the Flag Settings window, where you can customize your flags.
Help Opens the Prevail Help portal in a new tab.

Create Video Clips

You can review the clips you created during a Session or in Session Review in the Clips module. All of your saved clips are available in the Clips module, with options to edit, download, or delete your clips.

To create a clip, select lines of text from the AI Speech Capture module and choose the Create Clip option. You can use the Video of drop-down menu in the Video module to select a participant video feed. Move the slider and expand or contract the handles to select the time duration for the clip while you preview the video feed. You can also move the tracker to pinpoint a location for the video to start when you click the Play button.

  2. Click Create Clip.

    The Create Clip window opens.

  3. In the Name of Clip (required) box, type a name for your clip.
  4. In the Video of: drop-down, select a participant name for the video feed.
  5. Select the time duration…
    1. Move the Slider and expand or contract the Handles.
    2. In the Start and End boxes, use the Up and Down arrows to adjust the time.
      Note: A preview of the video displays as you move the Slider.
  6. Optional: To play the video, position the Tracker bar and click the Play icon. Note: A preview of the video displays as you move the Slider.
  7. Click Save.

Review or Download Session Files

You can review or download Session files in the Briefcase module. To open a file in a new tab for review, click the Expand icon. To download a file to your computer, click the Download icon.
