Account Settings

Use this section to customize your Prevail profile, activate multi-factor authentication, manage single sign-on options (SSO), or add or remove an email alias.

Customize Your Profile

You can customize your Prevail profile by setting your time zone, uploading a photo, adding a bio, or providing your contact information.

Upload a Profile Image

Your user account profile image displays in your Participant video tile during a Session when your camera is turned off. If you have not uploaded a profile image, your initials display by default.

  1. On the Navigation menu, click the User icon.
  2. Click Edit Profile.
  3. In the Upload Photo section, click the User icon.
  4. Click Select Photo to upload.
  5. Select your file…
    1. Navigate to your image file.
    2. Double-click the image file.
  6. Click Save Photo.

    The image is saved to your profile.

Set Your Time Zone

To view your upcoming, finished, and active Sessions in a particular time zone, set a time zone in your user profile. You can select a time zone from the drop-down menu or configure the Platform to automatically recognize your current time zone.

  1. On the Navigation menu, click the User icon.
  2. Click Edit Profile.
  3. In the Time Zone drop-down, select your time zone.
  4. Clear Detect Time Zone.
  5. Optional: To automatically detect your time zone, select Detect Time Zone.

Opt-Out of Reminder Emails

If you prefer not to receive reminder emails for upcoming sessions, you can change this setting in your user profile.

  1. On the Navigation menu, click the User icon.
  2. Click Edit Profile.
  3. Select Reminder Emails.

Activate Multi-Factor Authentication

You can enable multi-factor authentication by using an authentication app on your mobile device to scan a QR code.

If you do not have an authentication app on your mobile device, you will need to download one. You can use apps like Authy, Google Authenticator, LastPass, or Microsoft Authenticator. You can also use a set-up key with an authentication app on your mobile device or computer. We recommend scanning a QR code as the easiest method.

Using your mobile device’s authentication app, scan a QR code on the screen to add it to your multi-factor authentication.

  1. On the Navigation menu, click the User icon > Password and Security.
  2. In the Multi-factor authentication section, click Enable.
  3. If you do not have an authentication app, download an application on your mobile device.

    Note: If you are using an Android device, open the Google Play app and search for the desired authentication app. If you are using an iOS device, open the App Store app and search for the desired authentication app.

  4. In the authentication application on your mobile device, follow the instructions to add a new account.
  5. On the Prevail Platform, click Continue.
  6. On your mobile device, scan the QR code image…
    1. Follow the instructions on your authentication app.

      The authentication displays a 6-digit code.

  7. On the Prevail Platform, in the 6-digit code box, type the code from your authentication app.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Optional: To save your recovery codes, click Download.

    Note: Save your recovery code file in a secure location.

  10. Click Continue.

    Multi-factor authentication is enabled.

  11. Click Return to Dashboard.

    You are taken to your Dashboard.

Option #2: Enter a Set Up Key on Your Computer or Mobile Device

You can use the authentication app on your mobile device or your computer to activate multi-factor authentication by entering a setup key.

  1. Generate a setup key in Prevail...
    1. on the Navigation menu, click the User icon > Password and Security.
    2. In the Multi-factor authentication section, click Enable.
    3. Click Continue.
    4. Click click here to generate a set up key.

      A window opens and displays the secret key.

  2. In your authentication app, add the secret key…
    1. Open the authentication app on your computer or mobile device.
    2. Follow the instructions to enter a setup key.
    3. In the Account box, type an account name.
    4. In the Key box, type the displayed secret key.
    5. Click Add.
  3. Activate MFA in Prevail...
    1. In the 6-digit code box, type the displayed code.
    2. Click Continue.
    3. Optional: To save your recovery codes, click Download.
    4. Click Continue.

      Multi-factor authentication is enabled.

    5. Click Return to Dashboard.

      You are taken to your Prevail Dashboard.

Sign in with Multi-Factor Authentication

  1. Navigate to Prevail.ai.
  2. Provide your credentials.
  3. Click Login.
  4. Retrieve the code from your authentication app…
    1. On your mobile device, open the authentication app.
    2. Tap the account for Prevail.

      The 6-digit code displays.

  5. Type the displayed six-digit code.
  6. Click Verify.

    You are taken to your Prevail Dashboard.

Disable Multi-Factor Authentication

  1. On the Navigation menu, click the User icon > Password and Security.
  2. In the Multi-factor authentication section, click Disable.
  3. Provide your credentials.
  4. Click Verify.
  5. On your mobile device, open the authentication app.
  6. Type the six-digit code for Prevail.
  7. Click Verify.
  8. Click Turn off.

    Multi-factor authentication is disabled.

Manage Single Sign-On (SSO) Options

Manage your Prevail Single Sign-on (SSO) options by adding or removing a provider.

Add an SSO Provider

  1. On the Navigation menu, click the User icon > Password and Security.
  2. In the SSO Providers section, Click Continue with Provider.

    You are taken to the SSO Provider's sign-in page.

  3. Follow the instructions on the SSO Provider's sign-in page.

    You are taken to your Prevail Dashboard.

Remove an SSO Provider

  1. On the Navigation menu, click the User icon > Password and Security.
  2. In the SSO Providers section, below the provider listing, click Unlink Provider Account.
  3. In the Remove SSO Link window, type your Prevail password.
  4. Click Confirm Removal.

    The SSO provider is unlinked from your Prevail account.

Manage Email Aliases

An email alias is an alternative email address to the primary email address associated with your user account. You can add or remove an email alias. Note that all emails sent from Prevail go to your primary email address and not an email alias.

Add an Email Alias

  1. On the Navigation menu, click the User icon.
  2. Click Edit Profile.

    The Manage Your Profile page opens.

  3. In the Email Aliases textbox, type the email alias.
  4. Click Add Alias.

    A confirmation email with the subject Confirm your email alias is sent to the provided email.

  5. Navigate to your email account.
  6. Open the email from Prevail.ai.
  7. Verify your email address...
    1. Click Verify Email Address.
    2. Optional: Copy and paste a link in the email for verification.

Remove an Email Alias

  1. On the Navigation menu, click the User icon.
  2. Click Edit Profile.
  3. In the Email Aliases section, locate the email alias to remove.
  4. Click the Trashcan icon.
